Das neue Pancakeobjektiv ist da. - Wir freuen uns, Ihnen den neuen Skink Pinhole Pancake “Retro” vorstellen zu können!

Mit diesem neuen Lochkameravorsatz haben wir Ihre Wünsche berücksichtigt und bieten ergänzend zu der Version “Classic” ein weiteres Pancakeobjektiv an. Der Skink Pinhole Pancake “Retro” ist aus hochwertigem massivem Aluminium hergestellt und bietet einen präzis gefrästen Bajonetanschluß, passend zu Ihrer Kamera. Im Gegensatz zu sogenannten “Bodycaps” wurden hier keine Plastikteile verarbeitet. Dank des modularen Designs, lassen sich die verschiedenen Lochblenden, Zonenplatten oder Photonensiebe schnell und einfach austauschen. Das Filtergewinde ermöglicht den Anschluß von Filtern, Objektivdeckel oder Sonnenblende. So wie die Version “Classic”, wird auch dieses Lochkameraobjektiv in drei Konfigurationen als “Starter Kit”, “Creative Kit” oder “Pro Kit” angeboten. Das “Starter Kit” kann jederzeit mit zusätzlichen Blenden erweitert werden.

The new Skink Pinhole Pancake “Retro”

The new pancake lens is here. – We are happy to introduce the new Skink Pinhole Pancake “Retro”!

With this pinhole lens we have considered your wishes and introduce in addition to the “classic” version a new model of the pinhole pancake. The Skink Pinhole Pancake “Retro” is made of high quality massive aluminium. It offers a precisely machined bayonet mount to fit your camera. Unlike so-called “Body Caps” there are no plastic parts. Thanks to its modular design, various pinhole apertures, zone plates or zone sieves can easily be swapped with each other. The standard filter thread allows the use of filters, lens cap or lens hood. In the same way as the “classic” version, this pinhole pancake is available in three different configurations, as “Starter Kit”, “Creative Kit” or “Pro Kit”. The “Starter Kit” can be upgraded with additonal apertures at any time.

Sonnenblumen Infrarot Pinhole 850nm – Nikon DSLR

Schade, bei allen digitalen Spiegelreflexkameras verhindert der eingebaute Infrarot Sperrfilter, daß diese Kameras auch in der Infrarotfotografie eingesetzt werden können. Bei einer betagten Nikon D70s haben wir deshalb diese kleine grüne Sensorabdeckung aus Glas, den “Hot-Mirror”, einfach entfernt, ohne diesen durch Normalglas zu ersetzen. Die folgenden drei Pinholeaufnahmen wurden mit dem Skink Pinhole Pancake Versa mit Infrarotfilter (850nm) gemacht. Belichtungszeit 2-3 Sekunden bei Sonnenschein.

The rather old Nikon D70s was used for the three sunflower photos.
In order to enable the camera to take infrared photos, the hot-mirror filter which is located on top of the sensor, was removed without replacing it with normal glass. This time, an infrared filter (850nm) was used together with the Skink Pinhole Pancake Versa to take the following two infrared shots. The exposure time varied from 2 to 3 seconds.

“Skink Pinhole Pancake Versa” – das neue Mitglied in der Familie der Lochkameraobjektive

Stolze Besitzer einer Nikon Spiegelreflexkamera, egal ob analog oder digital, können sich freuen – als neues Mitglied in der Familie der Skink Pinhole Pancakes ist die Variante “Versa” ab sofort lieferbar. So wie schon bei der klassischen Variante, können auch hier wahlweise Lochblenden, Zonenplatten und Photonensiebe eingesetzt werden. Beide Versionen arbeiten mit gleicher Brennweite, so daß die verschiedenen Blenden untereinander kompatibel sind.

Zusätzlich bietet der Skink Pinhole Pancake Versa ein Filtergewinde. So können nun auch diverse Filter direkt angebracht werden. Sei es für die Schwarzweissfotografie oder das kreative Gestalten mit Infrarotfiltern in Verbindung mit Lochblende oder Zonenplatte. Für Aufnahmen aus nächster Nähe oder auch aus weiter Ferne, können zur Verlängerung der Brennweite die optional erhältlichen Zwischenringe zwischen Kamera und Pancake installiert werden.

Zusätzliche Lochblenden, für alle Brennweiten, werden im Shop angeboten.

the photon lens or zone sieve works well with strongly contrasting light. Best results can be achieved with exposure bracketing.

Llamas – zone sieve photo

This photo demonstrates the effect of a “moderate” zone-sieve. Two concentric rings of transparant spots around the pinhole sized main aperture render a mild zone-plate effect with enhanced highlights, while retaining a higher degree of image sharpness, similar to a pinhole photo. The cameloids here actually belong to a yet untamed herd of Pichincha llamas and alpacas in a farm located in the beautiful grasslands of the Bavarian Algäu region near Kaufbeuren. Their shy and yet curious character make them a rather challenging target for pinhole photography.
